This was a great place... been here 4 years ago and they’re still as good as they were. Same familiar faces too. Definitely recommending the Rosu katsu.

In 2008 i visited Tonkatsu Tonki, in 2019, their deep fried loin pork is still one of the best in Tokyo. The lightly breaded batter is crispy and pork cooked perfectly. Tender & juicy. I know the secret of the sauce. Paired with warm sake, its perfect. Set meal starts at ¥2,100 with fluffy rice & miso soup. Great value for money. Restaurant started in 1939, is a short 5 mins walk from Meguro JR station West Exit.

Best tonkatsu I've had! Incredible quality and quick service. Even when there is a line, it moves fairly quickly. Has a nice, traditional Japanese feel.

It's the best Tonkatsu I had so far. Environment is good as you can enjoy how your meal is prepare while enjoying it! Recommended!

Not a single bad thing to say about the place. You may have to lineup and wait, but believe me - it’s worth it! Perfectly cooked pork with a crunchy coating. Salad and sides are excellent but the star is the pork. Go and you won’t be disappointed. (Also- the mustard is a horseradish mustard, very strong but a bit with the pork is amazing)

It's not as oishi as others said it. Being a Malaysian there's really too hard for other coutries' food to top and make me wow. This Tonkatsu surely isn't one of them, it's overrated in my opinion. There are better ones other than this joint

This is my favorite tonkatsu place. I always make sure to come here everytime I visit Tokyo. Aside from good food, I love their process of preparing your food. I just love everything about this place. Good food and experience.

Such a wonderful experience to sit at the counter and watch them prepare your meal. You can tell that their version of katsu is an older recipe as it's more rustic and not as refined as others- but it is very very good.

Mythical pork cutlet (tongkatsu) place very near the Meguro station, that's been around for generations. Clean and bright interior, consistent and excellent food, all you can eat rice and cabbage. It's counter only, so perfect for a quick bite with a small party!
